Waiter ECC upgrade compatible with Intellitec ECC II

After about 2005, Fleetwood motor homes with 30 amp service may have used the newer model Intellitec ECC II system to control the furnace(s) and A/C units.  The two common questions we hear about upgrading from the ECC II systems are:

  1. Can I control the A/C units individually?
  2. Will the Waiter ECC system work for me?

The answer to both questions is : YES.

The Waiter ECC touchscreen display allows the operator to control FRONT and REAR systems totally independent of each other.   You can view a brief intro of the Waiter ECC system in the video below.

The Waiter ECC upgrade is 100 % plug and play compatible with the newer model Intellitec ECC II systems and comes complete with a basic upgrade kit plus two additional items used specifically in the ECC II upgrade.

ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS INCLUDED IN KIT

The upgrade kit for the ECC II system utilizes the basic upgrade kit plus it has two additional items to make it 100% plug and play compatible to upgrade your Intellitec ECC II system.

Waiter ECC COntrol Module EnclosureControl Module Enclosure:  The ECC II system uses a smaller control board and enclosure.  In the normal upgrade,  we re-use the original enclosure, the old circuit board is removed and the new upgrade circuit board installed. However,  since the ECC II enclosure is smaller,  our circuit board won’t fit.  The solution is to include a new enclosure for our circuit board.  These enclosures are 3D printed as we need them,  so we don’t have the cost associated with setting up an injection molding tooling for a plastic enclosure that we may only need a few a month.

power adapter fofrom ECC II to Waiter ECCOperator panel power adapter. The original Intellitec ECC II system uses a 3 pin power plug for the operator panel.  In the normal upgrade,  12 volts is supplied to the touchscreen (operator panel) via two male spade lug connectors that plug into the existing female spade lug terminals.  The solution is to provide an adapter, a three pin power plug to two female spade lugs. This allows the installer to simply unplug the old unit, plug in the new unit, and thats it.
