As of control circuit board version 1.7, well no longer be installing the BMP-280 pressure module.
This module was designed to report atmospheric pressure, However, early in beta testing we discovered some issues with the driver used to read the module causing the controller circuit board to lock up and lose communications with the MQTT server. Although we continued to install the module on the board, we disabled the driver.
As of Version 1.7, we will no longer install the module. If the manufactures driver gets repaired to our satisfaction, we’ll once again install the module.
This has minimal impact on the Waiter ECC as the only thing the sensor accomplished was to report atmospheric pressure, which we converted to pressure altitude.
