Mounting the touchscreen upside down

Thank you David C, 2003 Pace Arrow, for supplying the photos and assisting with this feature.

On some motor homes, mounting the touchscreen upside down makes for an easier and better looking installation.

Example: On a 2003 Pace Arrow, the original Intellitec thermostat is mounted near the bottom of a large black control panel. Directly above the thermostat are control switches for the water pump, water heater and the rear slide.

If the new touchscreen is mounted right side up, the mounting hole needs to be enlarged at the bottom by over an inch. HOWEVER, if the touchscreen is mounted upside down, the hole only needs to be enlarged at the bottom by about ¼ inch.

If the touchscreen is mounted upside down, how do we flip the display?

The firmware on the touchscreen is in a “READ ONLY” (RO) mode so the item that needs to get changed to flip the screen can’t be changed.  The best way to deal with this is when you order your system, specify the option to “FLIP SCREE UPSIDE DOWN”.  We’ll change the software setting and test it before we ship your system.
