2003 Fleetwood Flair (Feb 2021)
My 2003 Fleetwood Flair had the intellitec electronic climate control system that failed. My options were to pay $500 to have the Antiquated slide switch mechanism repaired by intellitec or to install the Hitec waiter ECC system. That is the option I chose for $525 which was advertised as Plug and Play. A very simple installation. The hardest part of the installation was finding the control module in which I had to replace the circuit board. The only other glitch I had was the thermostat sensor was above where the intellitec slide control system was. After installing the waiterecc it was getting a false temperature reading because the low heat that came from the display. Simple solution I moved the sensor below the display. Problem solved.
I haven’t yet done it but it csn be programmed for temperature control at specific hours of the day .
When installing I did have some questions to verify what I was doing and I called John the inventor of this product who personally answered the phone and provided me with information I needed.
If you have this intellitec system in your RV replace it with the waiter ECC system before it craps out. I was lucky that it happened in the winter. Thanks John!
