The touchscreen is a low power WiFi access point for the Waiter ECC system components. The control module connects to this access point and they talk back and forth sharing information and control signals. On rare occasion, this connection can be lost, but in most cases, the connection is automatically restored.

The most common reason for losing connection is another wireless router or access point has been installed in the motor-home in very close proximity to the Waiter ECC touchscreen or control module. Normally, the Waiter ECC Wifi and your routers Wifi don’t interfere with each other, however, if they’re to close to each other, the routers transmitter can overpower and swamp the receiver in the Waiter ECC system.

If you’re experiencing LOST CONNECTION, move your Wifi router / access point as far away from the Waiter ECC touchscreen / control module as possible. In almost every case, this resolves the problem.

  1. But what happens when No Connection stays there. We lost power, and was using the generator for power.
    My AC panel isn’t working.
The blower is running, and I have no way to shutting it off.
    Now what?
