The Waiter Legacy and Legacy TS are direct plug and play replacements for older Intellitec ECC systems providing all the functionality of the original Intellitec system, plus several new features that brings a 20 year old system up to date. The systems are made up of two main components, the custom control circuit board and the operator panel assembly.
You have two choices as to what operator panel you wish to use. The Legacy TS (left) or the Waiter Legacy (right)
BASIC KIT (00-005xx-xxx) INCLUDES:
- Custom control circuit board
- Operator thermostat control panel (either the Legacy or the Legacy TS)
- Yellow / Brown heat shrink (cover connectors if needed)
- ON/OFF switch w/mount plate and spade lug connectors
- Also included in kit 00-003xx-xxx – Two 10k temperature sensors and connector plugs
- Also included in kit 00-008xx-xxx – Control module enclosure
- Also included in kit 00-008xx-xxx – 3 pin power plug adapter
BASIC INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
- Remove 5 amp ECC fuse from 12 volt fuse panel. This panel is located beside the 120 volt circuit breakers. This removes power from the Intellitec ECC system
- Locate the old control module. It’s usually located within 2 feet of the 120 volt circuit breaker panel, i.e. behind, above, beside, etc.
- Photograph old installation, especially plug connections.
- Remove the old control module and operator panel. These must be completely removed before installing the Waiter Legacy system.
- Plug the two temperature sensors into the back of the Waiter Legacy operator panel
- Connect the yellow (+) and brown (-) power wires to the operator panel
- Use enclosed heat shrink to cover exposed connectors that can short
- Disassemble the control module enclosure. Remove the original circuit board and install the Waiter Legacy circuit board. Reassemble and install Waiter Legacy Sticker.
- Reconnect the connectors to the new circuit board
- Install the included ON/OFF switch in the red wire (SEE REVERSE)
- Re-insert the 12 volt 5 amp ECC fuse, The system should now be ready to operate.

NOTE: If your motor home has a A/C Fan Bypass Controller installed, it must be completely disconnected as it will not allow proper operation of the Waiter ECC system. Unplug the two 4 pin connectors from the A/C Fan Bypass Controller and plug these directly into the Waiter ECC Control Module. To read more, look in APPENDIX A of the Installation Manual
