Scheduled events added to Waiter ECC

After a recommendation from one of our Beta testers,  I’ve added 8 programmable schedule events (4 for the front and 4 for the rear). Each of the events can be programmed with the MODE (HEAT, A/C, or disabled), the time  Continue reading Scheduled events added to Waiter ECC

Production circuit cards being assembled

I received the first batch of production circuit cards and have started assembling them.  This is version 1.4.  There isn’t any electrical differences between Ver 1.3 and 1.4.  The main differences is repositioning a couple components for a better fit Continue reading Production circuit cards being assembled

Raspberry 4 to replace Rpi3

The initial design and testing of the Waiter ECC Operator touch screen used the Raspberry pi 3 B+ as the main microcomputer. Although it will certainly handle all the tasks that are programmed, we decided to upgrade to the newer Continue reading Raspberry 4 to replace Rpi3

Testing your Intellitec thermistor temperature sensors

If you’re troubleshooting your old Intellitec system or plan on using the original thermistors (thermal resistor) with a new Waiter ECC,  its a good idea to verify that the thermistors are operating OK. Most Fleetwoods that use the Intellitec controller Continue reading Testing your Intellitec thermistor temperature sensors

Raspberry alarm card updated to add 5 volt power supply

This was recommended by one of the beta testers. Eliminate the 12 to 5 volt USB power supply and instead,  put the power supply on the alarm card.  The diagrams have been updated and the artwork for the circuit card Continue reading Raspberry alarm card updated to add 5 volt power supply

Communications moved to wifi

The original prototype communications were done via USB cable.  With the planning for future expansion and additional options,  it was decided to move the communications to wifi and use the MQTT protocol.  This eliminates the USB cable but more importantly,  Continue reading Communications moved to wifi

Additional options planned

Reports back from testers are curious about adding support for a generator control and possibly leveler control.  We’ve looked into these and started initial planning to incorporate these.  One feature with the generator control is the ability to start the Continue reading Additional options planned

Beta testers ask for alarm clock

Beta testers have installed prototype and are reporting back with feature requests and a couple minor bugs. An Alarm clock is added to the operator panel.  This also requires a circuit card be added to the operator panel that incorporates Continue reading Beta testers ask for alarm clock
