The Waiter ECC system provides similar functionality as the original Intellitec system, and then some. All logic and functionality is controlled within the control module. The operator touchscreen serves as an interface to the control module. Communications between the operator touchscreen and the control module are performed over its built in wifi network using a message system called MQTT.
