Waiter’s ECC – a new modern ECC replacement – WAIT LIST

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Like many manufactures in the US,  we’re experiencing difficulties getting the components needed to assemble a Waiter ECC system. In particular,  the “Raspberry pi” (Rpi) computer module which is used in industrial applications and also popular with hobbyist. There seems to be a world wide shortage of this component as new stock isn’t available from any of our normal vendors and they’re not able to provide an estimate as to when they’ll receive inventory. We’re able to acquire small quantities but these sources are sporadic and cannot be relied for the long term.

If you wish to purchase a Waiter ECC now but the unit you need is OUT OF STOCK, complete the form below.

1) Place your name on a waiting list,  As we acquire components and are able to build the units, we’ll offer them to those who’ve signed up on the list on a first come first serve basis.  When we place units in stock,  we’ll contact you via e-mail.  You’ll need to move quickly if you’re notified as these sell out very quickly.

2) If you’re able to supply your own Raspberry pi model 3A, 3B, or a 3B+, make sure to check the box on the form below. We’ll contact you and have you ship your Rpi to us to test. If its OK we’ll assemble your Waiter ECC system using your Rpi., and discount your purchase price by $50.

Replace your existing or failed Intellitec dual thermostat operator panel and control module with a new, modern technology ECC for about the same cost as it would to repair your old Intellitec controller.  Waiter ECC is 100% plug and play for the majority of installations.

IMPORTANT —  READ THE FOLLOWING. There are three different versions of the Intellitec operator panel and its very easy to confuse between the first two versions. Verify your current model using the part numbers, not just the photos. You MUST order the correct kit or you may not have all the parts needed for a successful upgrade. If you’re not 100% sure contact us,  this will save you frustration when you go to install and find out you’re missing a part.

VERSION 1:  The operator panel color is black. It has the word FLEETWOOD”  in upper left corner and has red/blue graph bands to show temperature set points of the slide control. All part numbers for the controller and control module will be 00-003xx-xxx.  Used in early model Fleetwood motor homes from about 1994 – 1998.  SEE NOTE #1

VERSION 2: The color is gray or black.  Notice that the tempersture set point sliders have numbers instead of the red/blue graph.  All part numbers for this controller and control module will be 00-005xx-xxx. This is the most popular unit,  installed on Fleetwood from about 1998 – 2005.   SEE NOTE #2

VERSION 3: There’s no mistaking this model from the others.  All part numbers for the controller and control module will be 00-008xx-xxx. Used in 30 amp Fleetwood motor homes after about 2004. SEE NOTE #3

The operators panel is a 7 inch color touch screen that’s easy to see and automatically dims to preset levels so as not to be to bright during the day or night. The user selects the various modes and settings by simply touching the screen. (See OPERATION)

The new controller circuit board replaces the existing Intellitec ECC controller circuit board inside the control module enclosure (see note 3).  The original temperature (see note 1) and current sensors are used by the Waiter ECC.

The Waiter ECC touchscreen and control circuit board are plug and play,  no wiring changes required. Simply unplug the old units, plug in the new units, and you’re ready to go. (See INSTALL)

We’re not affiliated with or related to M&M RV Electronics, but if you’d like to compare the price to repair your old Intellitec system, contact  M&M RV Electronics (419) 965-3014.  After getting their estimate to repair your 20 year old system, consider replacing it with a new, modern Waiter ECC thats loaded with features the original system never dreamed of. See BUY IT NOW .

If your operator wall panel looks similar to one of these three,  then the Waiter ECC will work for you. BUT,  you MUST verify that you’re ordering the correct kit. Compare the part numbers of your control module or operator panel with the numbers listed below.

Operator Panel Intellitec part # Kits Required
00-00329-XXX Requires Sensor kit – NOTE 1:
00-00591-XXX 100% Plug and Play, nothing else required
00-00855-XXX Requires Enclosure kit – NOTE 3:

** NOTE 1 :  Early model Intellitec operator panel # 00-003XX-XXX (has red and blue graphic bands on the ends) utilizes 2.2k ohm temperature sensors.  These sensors are not compatible with later model Intellitec systems or the Waiter ECC system (uses 10k ohm sensors) and must be replaced.  Also, the original sensors mount flush to the wall and are very slow to respond to temperature changes.  The new style sensors protrude out from the wall, are very accurate, and respond quickly to temperature changes.

** NOTE 2 : This is the most popular model used by Fleetwood.  All modules and operator panel will have part numbers  # 00-005XX-XXX. Uses existing enclosures and wiring.  No changes needed. Used with one or two furnaces.

** NOTE 3 : Later model Intellitec operator panel # 00-008XX-XXX uses a smaller size control circuit board and enclosure. Since the Waiter ECC control circuit board won’t fit in your original enclosure, we include a new 3D printed enclosure with your kit. Unlike the original Intellitec operator panel, the Waiter ECC allows you to control your front and rear A/C units separately.
